Noida Travel Information

New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) was set up as a part of urbanization thrust as an extension to Delhi. With first class amenities it is considered to be one of the most modern cities of India in the National Capital Region.

Noida lies about 20 –kilometers (12 miles) southeast to New Delhi and is the fastest growing hub in Delhi NCR, with exponential growth in IT, BPO Industry, Media Hub, and others.

Sector 18, The City Centre is a major landmark being retail destination for the people of Noida, Ghaziabad and Delhi. It has also emerged as the entertainment hub of Noida. Adjacent to sector 18 is the Great India Place (TGIP) Mall to which is attached the Worlds of Wonder theme game park.

Noida is a major hub for multinational firms outsourcing IT services. Many large software and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies have their offices in their city. Amongst others, companies such as Accenture, Adobe, EXL, Dell, HCL, Oracle, Sapient, Steria, etc. are headquartered or have large presence.

It is also a major hub of industry; Noida has emerged as a hub for automobile ancillary units, with companies like Escorts, Honda-SEIL and New Holland tractors (JV of FIAT with Ford). Major manufacturers and others like ALSTOM, ISGEC, Fiserv, LG, Moser Baer, Samsung, and T-series are also based here.

There is more to Noida than just industry. Film City is the hub of all the major News, CNBC, IBN, NDTV, TV Today group, and many more are situated here. Commercial activities have also risen in the recent years, with a sudden spate of new malls and multiplexes.

Many other companies have their Indian branch offices in Noida, because of the special Economic Zone, the suburban atmosphere in Noida and its proximity to Delhi. Noida also has the head office of Software Technology Park.

Noida has been put on the fast track by the Delhi Metro which started operations on 14th November 2009. Through Delhi Metro, Noida is now connected to Pragati Maidan (the primary exhibition ground of New Delhi) and Connaught Place. The Metro Station in Sec 18 is less than 100 meters from the Hotel.
